Hello there!

Here I share the motivation behind my love for photography, a little glimpse of who I am and what is inspiring me in my life right now. I hope this gives you more insight into my being and my creative thought process!

For the love of life

Taking photos has always been second nature to me. It's been my creative avenue in everything I do, be it schooling, baking, hiking or just chilling with friends. Looking through the camera is my way of seeing life in all its splendour and beauty.

If you're a mom like me, you would know how busy (& chaotic) everyday can feel. Photography reminds me to slow down and enjoy life's fleeting moments. The 1-minute breaks to catch my breath, the peaceful (though momentary) silence, the kids all seated down and actually eating their meal, etc.

Life is filled with these little instances that come as quickly as they go! I want to take hold of them, give them a romantic spin, and gift them to you. For me, photography is key to that magic, and so I hope you'll see the beauty in your everyday too.

A Little about me

In 2017 I moved to Brisbane, Australia, to be with my husband. Leaving my full-time job behind, I decided that I would take the leap of faith and turn this passion I had for photography into something beautiful. It has been a mind-blowing journey thus far and I'm ever so grateful for everyone who has shared their lives with me in one way or another.

My husband and I now reside in Singapore and God has blessed us with two beautiful children. The kiddies have been my inspiration to photograph and sometimes my frustration too (yikes!).

After becoming a mother, I have grown in many ways that have impacted the way I photograph. Learning to let go of control, embracing uncertainty and going with the flow has intuitively shifted my lens. It has opened up my eyes to see the endless beauty that lies in every ordinary and supposedly mundane interaction. It has also grown my empathy towards people and given me a fresh take on life.

This has been my motivation for a long time now. I have never regretted taking out my camera, even in the most chaotic moment of the day, to capture a moment.

My husband and I look back on these pictures I have taken of our children and we marvel at them every time! The clock ticking has never been more apparent than in this season of my life. One moment they are a little baby in your arms, no words spoken, and the next they are bargaining with you for more snacks and play time! They stomp their feet and show you who is boss. The years just fly by!

So don't wait, you'll never regret romanticizing these little moments in life. They are so precious and worth relishing in!
